My Dad the Chef

Everyone knows that we are an unusual bunch when it comes to food. Eat and try anything.
So Thanksgiving comes along, Mom has just had knee surgery so the feast falls to Dad for the
planning. Some may cringe when thinking of the years of past Alabama surprise. (I think Mom got to sample some while on her sick bed) But I must say that Dad is a superb chef. Holly and He planned the menu
but we all got to have a say in what we wanted. Here is How the feast went.

1st Appetizers (Fill yourself so full on these that you only have a little room for dinner)
Crab Stuffed Mushrooms
Proccuto with cream cheese and dill pickles
2nd Main Course (Oh, ate too much so only sample a little of everything)
Fried Turkey with Cajun Seasonings
Wild Rice Corn Bread Stuffing
Boiled Shrimp (Because Turkey is just Tradation)
Ceaser Salad
Greek Salad
Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
Rolls
Sweet Potatoes
Relish tray
3rd last and the very most important (Now this is where you stuff your self!)
Lemon Delight
Two Ton
Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream (I am embaressed to say how much I ate. Weight Watchers member for life)

So as you can see we mixed it up like crazy!!! Celebrated all different cultures and tastes.
Now as we are still eating leftovers 3 days later Brinley says, "Man, Grandpa sure is a good cook!" And I would have to agree.

I'm getting hungry! Sounds like a huge and wonderful feast. And I agree, it's ok to break tradition every now and then (especially if it's for shrimp!)
